Chrysanthemums are a type of flower that belongs to the Asteraceae family. This family consists of around 126 genera that are meant for the plant, the most popular of which are the daisies and the sunflowers. Chrysanthemums are a part of the aster subfamily, which is more specifically the part called the chrysanthemum subfamily. This subfamily consists of around 40 genera and 2000 different species. At first, the Petunia was a European flower and was thought to be a weed. In 1866, however, it was brought to the United States, and in 1888, the white petunias produced. Some people thought the new flower looked like a tomato, and the name was changed. In 1945, the flower`s name was changed back to petunia and it was changed again in the 1960s.
